Coast and Country Cottages has been announced as the winner of the Best Small UK Holiday Cottage booking Company in the prestigious 2017 British Travel Awards.
The announcement was made at the Gala awards ceremony held in London and attended by more than a thousand travel industry professionals, including representatives from all leisure travel genres.
The family owned and managed agency is delighted to have now won this award for a fantastic four consecutive years. Since acquiring the company in 2001, Andrew and Karen Jones have successfully grown the business to market and manage around 400 self-catering properties in Salcombe, Dartmouth and the surrounding areas.
Andrew has expressed his delight at winning the award for an incredible fourth time, giving thanks to “our loyal property owners and customers”. Adding a special mention to their “superb team for their continued commitment.
“We are so proud to have seen our company go from strength to strength and these awards, and the recognition they bring with them, are hugely important to the whole team.”
Chief Executive of the British Travel Awards, Lorraine Barnes Burton commented that: “Coast and Country Cottages is to be congratulated on winning Best Small UK Holiday Cottage Booking Company.
“The British Travel Awards is the largest consumer voted awards programme in the world and this year 722,473 votes were cast by the travelling public to determine the winners and to win is truly an accolade and a badge of excellence.
‘We occasionally get emails and calls from consumers who have not been happy with their holiday experience, and of course no-one can please all the people all of the time-but, the BTAs reflect the views of happy customers-and our standard is-‘if you didn’t like it-don’t vote for it’. The results speak volumes.”
