A luxury cruise liner is heading back to Dartmouth after a year’s absence.

The Europa will set sail from Germany carrying 400 guests and arrive in the town on Wednesday, July 3.

Those onboard the Hapag-Lloyd vessel will have 12 hours to explore the area, before departing for Tresco in the Isles of Scilly.

The cruise liner is too large for the River Dart, so she will be anchored close to land in Start Bay, which is visible from the coastal path to Dartmouth castle.
