CHILDREN at Dartmouth Preschool have been learning all about their community and people who help others.

They were lucky enough to have a visit from town crier Lez Ellis and his wife Liz.

The children enjoyed learning all about the role of the town crier and the history of town criers in Dartmouth.

Holly Young, teacher and deputy manager said: ‘We would like to say a big thank you to Lez and Liz for taking time to visit us.

A service of dedication and blessing of Southford school rooms by the Right Rev Robert Atwell, Bishop of Exeter, will take place at St Saviour’s Church, Dartmouth, on Monday, October 10, at 11am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
