JUSTINE JORDAN of Victoria Road, Dartmouth, writes:

In response to some of the letters in recent weeks concerning the re-routing of these buses in Victoria Road, I would like to point out the following.

I have been running a guesthouse in Victoria Road for eight years.

When I contact my prospective guests who are travelling to this area by bus and train, I inform them of bus times to and from Dartmouth and would always suggest which stop to get off at, in my case it was Wilsdene Terrace, Lower Fairview Road, about 10 yards from my front door, without the need of going into town and back out again.

Also I would recommend visitors catching either the Plymouth or Totnes bus from virtually outside my front door, which has always proved to be popular, even for guests who have driven here but want to have a break from driving.

My complaint in the past, and still is, bus drivers mounting the kerb and doing damage to the footpaths. In fact I have had my wall knocked down by a bus when two bus drivers on this narrow bit of road could not agree as to which one of them should give way.

As for passengers peering into bedroom windows, I find that comment just ridiculous.
