Devon County Council are encouraging people to use Devon Work Hubs, which are spaces where people can access a desk and productive work environment.

The work hubs are a network of spaces across Devon where people can get the most out of their work.

Devon Work Hubs describe the spaces “perfect for anyone looking for a welcoming new place to get productive and enjoy a more inspiring work day."

They say: “Our network is made up of over 23 diverse Hubs, each one independently run, local-focused and designed specifically to help communities flourish. Whether you need a relaxed atmosphere to get creative in or a quiet space to focus, there’s a perfect Hub near you.

“Each Hub has its own communities and quirks, but they all have the same welcoming vibe.

“With unique Hubs in diverse areas of Devon, from coastal cities to rural farms, and a range of ways of working in each, Devon Work Hubs offers you a more flexible way of working.

The work hubs are a great place to get away from the loneliness of working from home, which many suffer from with the move to more remote working, as they offer a productive space to work with others.

They say: “Avoid the isolation of working from home by becoming a part of the thriving community of local businesses and professionals at your nearest Work Hub.

“Our Hubs offer an excellent balance of cost and utility, with all of the features and facilities you need without the extortionate expense you’re used to.”

The desks have different prices and uses, with memberships, meeting rooms, and pay-as-you go desks available.

In Kingsbridge there is a work hub on Higher Union Road, and others in Modbury and Ivybridge.
