DARTMOUTH United Charities has launchd a website to let people know about its services.
DUC is a local charity providing almshouse accommodation and small grants to support the residents of Dartmouth.
Jill Cawley, Chair of the DUC said: ‘The website encourages organisations and individuals to apply to the charity through its small grants programme. Grants are offered to support people in need living in the Parish of Dartmouth.
‘You can now download an application and guidance from the website, making the process simple and accessible.’
Betty Fleet, Vice-Chair of the DUC added: ‘We are pleased to launch a website that ensures we can reach a wider audience and help people understand the work we do. We would like to thank Dartmouth Computing for setting up the site and Harry Major for the beautiful photos of the town.’
The website will enable people to find out about the almshouse accommodation within the town; and how individuals in hardship and organisations supporting those in need can apply for financial assistance.
If anyone would like to be emailed about almshouse vacancies as they arise, they can also contact the office via the website. The new website can be found at: www.dartmouthunitedcharities.org.uk
