This is the first time that Dartmouth Players have performed the play.

Bill Hunt of the Players said: “We have a very experienced cast who have worked hard to achieve a first class rendition of this classic comedy, surprisingly never before been performed by the Dartmouth Players.

“The costumes, some made especially for this production by Sophie Tope, are magnificent and we have gone all out to produce a first class set! We have found a way to produce some real scenery again. Quite expensive but a lasting stock for future shows.

“Unfortunately, at the moment, genuine live theatre has all but disappeared from the Flavel but we, the Dartmouth Players are still flying the flag after 88 years!”
