SIMON DREW, of Foss Street, Dartmouth, writes:

I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment at the possibility of the SHC cutting back on gardeners. It seems to me that they are gradually cutting everything they do until the only thing they will spend our rates on will be running Follaton House.

As a business, we rent a unit off the SHC at Admirals' Court near Sainsbury's.

On top of our rent, we pay £76.70 monthly for maintenance of the grounds.

There are 14 units so they are collecting approximately £1,073 a month to cover the cost of a few grass cuttings and not much else. What are they spending our money on?

The Castle Cove Group tried to rebuild the bridges at Castle Cove. We were going to raise all the money and maintain them. But the SHC wouldn't even let us do that when it would cost them nothing.
