Lew Langworthy, the husband of the current Ladies Section President, Janet Langworthy, was joined by the Mens President, Barrie French, in refurbishing the Old Dartmothians Ladies Millenium Bench.

Located in Royal Avenue Gardens near the fountain, the bench received a good rub-down and a couple of coats of paint.

Barrie said, “The bench had not been painted for seventeen years and was looking a bit grim, so we thought we would refurbish it ready for the Music Festival.

“There is no truth in the rumour that we are going to do the other 300 benches between the Higher Ferry and Dartmouth Castle!”
