Ian Carter, of Britannia avenue, Dartmouth writes:

Well after nearly three years of successful T20 cricket in Dartmouth we have, as far as I know, our first whinge.

To the wife of the Dolphin cricket captain who see's fit to vent her outrage via your letter page, I took part in the game she is complaining aboutand sure it was a tense affair played hard and fair.

As I understand it the T20 cricket committee have addressed the problems (if any) reported from the fixture and all teams in the league have been reminded of their responsibilities towards the officers and officials of the league.

What a pity this lady has chosen to mistake inter-pubrivalry and banter for so called drunken yobbish behaviour.

Might I suggest if she likes cricket so much she pays a visit to the MCC this Christmas.

I'm told the pints flow freely and the language at times can be quite colourful.

Finally I say this to you missus, to call Dartmouth a village well, That's just not cricket!
