CLLR Benjamin Cooper, Dartmouth, Townstal ward, South Hams Council, writes:

Surely it comes as no shock to you and your readers that a decision at South Hams is set to be made 'behind closed doors'?

I mean, isn't it common knowledge that before full council meetings the Conservative group disappear 'behind closed doors' and their 30 councillors are told which way to vote on certain issues by just a handful of members?

If your readers are shocked by this, perhaps the next time they vote they'll mark their ballot in a way which will help create a more politically balanced council at Follaton House.
