I would like to clarify my letter, Chronicle, April 29, in which I stated that I was against the closure of Dartmouth Hospital and the Mayors Avenue Clinic.

I am against the removal of these NHS facilities if there was to be no replacement, but if the sale of these buildings generate the funds to develop an NHS health centre at the River View Care Home, then I would be happy for the sale to go ahead.
