Prime Minister Theresa May recently said that cottage hospitals had a valuable, important roll to fulfil, so let’s get it back doing just that.

I am truly saddened that MP Sarah Wollaston, once one of the brightest and the bravest and the most outspoken in parliament and one the best MPs, seemingly preferred a trip to Holland rather then leading those who voted her in to parliament in their hour of need over the calls to reopen Dartmouth and Kingswear Hospital.

I also wonder who does Dartmouth Caring actually care for and why it is in such a position that seem to be negotiating on our behalf and who was it that asked it to do this?

I am 68 years old and I am often sick and I feel I have a right to be treated in the town I love, just as my ancestors were and those dear to me.

While those around us share out the spoils of our forbears’ graft and investment in a way that they see fit, such as to keep Torbay Hospital at its most wasteful spending money on flashy foyers bigger then most cottage hospitals that they would see closed. We have been treated as fools.
