A group of rowers, coxes and support crew rowing from Dartmouth to Guernsey for charity are holding an event tomorrow to tell the community about their big adventure.
The group of rowers are inviting the community to come down to the South Embankment and the Royal Avenue Gardens in Dartmouth to learn about their 142 mile rowing challenge.
So come along from 11am on Saturday, June 23, to meet the crew and support teams and see the gigs Volante and Smudger. The crowds will also be able to watch the rowers on the river, find out more about the Dart Gig Club and help raise money for charity.
The row from Dartmouth to Guernsey is in aid of Children’s Hospice South West which will be taking place on Friday, July 27, to Sunday, July 29.
The hospice is dedicated to making the most of short and precious lives through the provision of the best possible hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
The team is hoping to raise £15,000 which anyone can donate to through their fund raising page.So far, the team has raised £3,125.50.
