RICHARD Rawlins, of Beacon Road, Kingswear, writes:

I am intrigued by the South Devon & Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group’s consultation for reshaping health services and the emphasis placed on ‘community care’.

I ask: in which community might I expect to receive health and well-being services in future?

I live in Kingswear, which is in the South Hams, and is certainly not part of Paignton or Brixham.

Given that the point of reconfigured services is to see better coordination of health services with social services, it is essential that I – and the CCG – know where I reside.

Nowhere in the CCG document is the community/parish of Kingswear mentioned. The map on page 20 of the ‘Into the Future’ document designates the five ‘localities’ (four being presently consulted on), but shows Kingswear precisely nowhere, unless in Paignton and Brixham.

This is wrong, and such manipulated administration would be detrimental to me and my family, as Paignton and Brixham have no responsibility for providing my community with any service whatsoever.

Can the CCG please explain, lest we in Kingswear fall into a crack in the Dart valley? Perhaps that is the intention.
