CAROLYN Williams has received this year’s Kingswear Award.

The annual presentation by the parish council recognises the special contribution made by an individual in the village.

Mrs Williams is a member of the church parochial council. She is also a stalwart of Kingswear Village Hall committee, having held most of the posts at one time or another, and is heavily involved with the 2-to-4 Club which holds get-togethers for residents in the Lower Hall on the first Monday of the month.

Council chairman Cllr Jan Henshall said: ‘She is the go-to girl.’

Mrs Williams’ late husband, David, was chairman of Kingswear Historians. He died in 2012.
