Dartmouth Business Improvement District’s annual general meeting will be held in the Clifton Rooms at the Guildhall, at 6pm on Thursday, March 17.

A spokesman said: ’All Dartmouth BID members are invited to join us. This is an opportunity for members to learn about the progress that we have made over the last 12 months and the plans we have for the next year. It is, of course, also your opportunity to vote for new directors.

’The current directors were all elected at the last AGM and can continue for three years without standing for re-election.

’We are looking to boost the board with the election of up to seven additional directors and we would encourage as many members as possible to apply.

’If you can spare a few hours each month and would like to contribute and influence the way the BID is run, this is your opportunity.

’Applications can be found on the Information section of our website, http://www.dartmouthbid.co.uk/ and applications must be received by Thursday, March 10.

’We are particularly looking for representation from businesses in the retail sector. Depending on the number of applications that we receive, applicants may be asked to give a short talk to members in support of their application.’

The AGM is for BID members only as it is only the members that are entitled to vote. If you are a levy payer who is not a member and you would like to become one, please see how to apply under the information section of the BID’s website. If you are not sure if you are a member or not, email [email protected] and we will advise you. Membership applications will need to be received by Thursday, March 10, to allow time for them to be processed before the AGM.
