DARTMOUTH manager Lance Worthington says his side must be more composed in front of goal after wasteful finishing cost them dear last weekend and on Tuesday evening.
Worthington was left cursing 'half-a-dozen' missed opportunities in Saturday's cup defeat at Galmpton United.
And he was frustrated again on Tuesday when a trip to North Devon was again affected by the Darts' lack of a clinical touch.
The Darts will hope to get back on track tomorrow at Camelford, with Worthington insisting: 'We've got to stop the rot after four defeats on the trot.'
Midfielder Andy Widdicombe is set to return from injury, but goalkeeper Nathan Murphy will be serving a one-match suspension.
He is likely to be replaced by second-team stopper, Darren Goss.
Of Saturday's cup shock at the Division One East outfit, Worthington said: 'The Throgmorton Cup has eluded us for another year, although we played quite well. We dominated the whole 90 minutes, but it was a case of missed opportunities – we had a lot of chances to wrap the game up.
'They had two chances and scored and we had half-a-dozen and only scored one through Radley Veale. We just need to start showing more composure in front of goal and we'll start taking our chances.'
He added: 'It was their (Galmpton's) cup final; they were well up for it and it was a case of the underdogs coming out on top.'
Worthington was upset that league officials made Dartmouth trek up to North Devon to play Witheridge on Tuesday night, particularly in view of the atrocious weather conditions.
He said the pitch cut up badly, with his unhappiness intensifying when Dartmouth conceded an early goal due to a defensive slip, the first of three his side let in.
Once again, it was poor finishing that proved Dartmouth's undoing, lamented Worthington. He said: 'We're shooting from 30 yards to no avail, but when we get to the 18-yard box, we try and pass the ball into the net. We have got to be more clinical in front of goal.
'We repeat the same things in the changing room before every match and it's a case of drilling into the guys constantly. It's very frustrating.'
