Colin Staines, of Slapton, writes:
I have written to you in the past about this subject. Walking the dog, as I always do every day, around Slapton Ley, I always come along dog poo.
This morning a dog owner had collected his dog poo in a bag and just left it.
Who does this person expect to collect his bag and put into a bin?
Some person just chucked their dog poo bags into a hedge about 10 feet up.
One lot of poo was in a plastic supermarket bag.
These peole who do not clear up after their dog would not like it if all the neighbouring dog owners let their dogs into their garden and let them poo wherever they want without clearing it up.
When a person buys a dog they should be given several poo bags and told where they should put their dog bags when they have collected their dog's poo.
Like having your dog microchipped, this should be made law.
It is only common sense.
A few bad dog owners spoil it for the rest who collect their dog poo and know what to do with it.
