POLICE inquiries are continuing after an alleged sexual assault in Dartmouth over Easter. The incident involved a 30-year-old woman who was walking home just before midnight on Easter Sunday. Police believe the woman, from the Dartmouth area, and her alleged attacker knew each other. They are keen to speak to anybody who may have seen a man and woman together in the Waterpool Road and Milton Lane area between about 11.30pm on Sunday night and 0.30am on Monday morning. Anyone with any information about the alleged assault should call the police on 101, quoting crime reference JH/14/161. A man in his 30s from the Dartmouth area has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been bailed to attend at Torquay police station on June 30.

Police would also like to speak to anybody who may have witnessed two alleged assaults in the Foss Street area of the town in the early hours of Saturday morning. One man suffered a cut to his nose and the other a swelling to his eye after the incidents which followed drink-related arguments, say police.
