I was disappointed that my letter regarding the Dartmouth Players' recent production of 'Dancing at Lughnasa' did not appear in last week's letters page.

I had hoped it would be printed not only to show appreciation and support to your local drama group, but also to encourage more people in the local community to enjoy their future productions and maybe even think of joining them.

With so much doom and gloom about these days, it is a real treat to be able to enjoy local theatre at an affordable price and makes for an enjoyable evening out when one is on holiday in Dartmouth.
