Ash Rescue Centre near Stoke Fleming has an auction of promises at the Guildhall at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 9. There will be over 50 lots to go under the hammer. Promises to be auctioned include: stays in holiday cottages, theatre tickets, hampers, champagne and boat trips.

Tickets are available from Bird in Anzac Street and give entry to a buffet supper and a welcome drink.

Ash rescues more horses each year. Each winter in particular, more are in need of rescue. Currently, the centre has work to do to repair and renew its fencing and it may be able to acquire further acreage, needed as the number of rescued animals increases.

The funds raised will go towards all of these needs and the upkeep of the animal rescued.
