For fans of the late, great Leonard Cohen-Dartmouth has a treat in store.
Accomplished musician Keith James brings you a concert of Cohen’s amazing material in an intimate, respectful and sensitive style, showcasing the inner strength of his great songs in their original perfect form.
In a forty year career Keith has performed this concert in over 400 theatres and arts centres throughout the UK to over 10,000 people.
As a great fan of Cohen’s work Keith, shares his insight and provides informative, interesting and witty interpretations of the songs in his introductions.
Amongst a concert of Cohen’s well known songs, including Famous Blue Raincoat, Sisters of Mercy, Suzanne and Hallelujah are also poems by Federico Garcia Lorca that Keith James has set to music. Lorca is said to be Cohen’s greatest influence.
Additionally, songs from Leonard Cohen’s Album ‘You want it Darker’ released only 10 days before his death – produced by his son, Adam.
Keith will be appearing at The Flavel Arts Centre at 7:30pm on Saturday, June 9.
